Asus has already established its ROG Phone line as the phone of choice for dedicated gamers, and the firm appears to be developing a practice of releasing awesomely designed special editions of its latest gaming gadgets. As an example, consider the Asus ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition. And, as you might expect, the phone is styled after Blizzard’s blockbuster Diablo Immortal game.
I know, I know, the game is divisive. Fortunately, the look is clearly Diablo, and we can pretend that this latest installment does not exist. I was overcome with nostalgia just by opening the gift. The big box obviously has the Diablo print on top and the heroes’ insignia on the sides. But that’s not all; when we open the external package, we notice that the phone is really housed in a Soulstone-shaped box (correction: the Worldstone). That is a lovely touch!
Rear to the phone, the back has been entirely redesigned with an aggressive red-on-black Diablo image (Asus refers to it as Hellfire Red finish), and the wording has been modified to fit the special edition.
The illuminating logos on the back are RGB, which means you can alter them to any hue you desire. They might be strobing, breathing, or cycling through different colors. We picked a consistent red for obvious reasons.
Diablo is, of course, the default theme upon startup. We like the lock screen, however, we don’t like the home screen wallpaper. It’s a little too contrasty and appears hastily put together. Having said that, the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal Edition isn’t much different on the inside. It’s still powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and sports the front-facing 165 Hz AMOLED screen. The ultrasonic shoulder triggers, incredible stereo speakers, headphone jack, and twin USB ports Charging and accessory ports are all present. When we evaluated the 6 Pro, we discovered that the camera was also quite decent.
A Diablo-themed AeroActive Cooler 6 is certainly lacking. As you may know, the separately purchased attachment keeps the phone cool and provides four physical buttons for greater gameplay. While I’ve spent hundreds of hours playing Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, and I’m looking forward to Diablo 4, I haven’t spent much time in Diablo Immortal simply because I’m not a fan of microtransactions and free-to-play games. But that doesn’t dampen my enthusiasm for a Diablo-themed smartphone.
This is unmistakably a Diablo gaming phone.
The ROG Phone 6 Diablo Edition has a semi-matte surface that emphasizes the “Hellfire Red” flames, which may alter based on your viewing angle. The name Diablo is inscribed on the rear of the gadget, along with the ROG and Diablo Immortal logos. The logos are illuminated by the phone’s proprietary Aura RGB, which adds a great touch. To be honest, I believe Diablo would have looked better lighted up – after all, this is the Lord of Terror we’re talking about. Is he not deserving?

The SIM card slot on the frame’s bottom left side, as well as the power button on the right edge, have a metallic red accent that contrasts wonderfully with the black. . The 65W charger and braided USB-C cable, on the other hand, are black, much like the normal ROG Phone 6.

When you open the Horadric Cube box, you’ll discover a cardboard box shaped like the game’s renowned Worldstone. When you open it, you’ll discover the phone as well as a unique Immortality Ejector PIN tool.
